It seems like an age since I last blogged. Things have all been rather hectic, and it doesn't help when British Telecom are incompetent fools and cannot fix your phone line or internet for 3 weeks! Anyway, the little engineer man finally turned up and worked his magic (yeah, right) and I'm able now to catch up with everything!
We had a busy time getting our youngest off to Uni, she is now suffering with Freshers Flu!
They certainly know how to party in Ireland (that's where she went to study) and of course, we had to go over there to see what it is all about. On our trip we managed to do an awful lot of walking......not by choice, but there are so few buses (just three a day on a Sunday). Makes you realise how lucky we are at home. Our first day exploring took us along the Causeway Coast, and would you believe it, someone must have been tired of walking, so threw themselves off the cliffs in front of our very eyes and into the sea to get a lift home courtesy of the Irish coastguard. Entertaining for us, and yes, he was very lucky that he didn't get dashed into the rocks and killed.

We spent lots of time on the beaches, a dogs paradise, especially Portstewart Strand. We didn't take any of ours with us but were lucky enough to meet up with the only barbet we believe to live in Ireland. So, there are no snakes in Ireland, but there is a barbet :-)
