Tennessee Fainting Goat
Well it's about time I got some practice in on blogging! I published my website a few days ago and went to check on google to see if I could find it, but came across another Shaggy Chic site instead, not about Barbets, but Alpacas and Fainting Goats!!! The goats don't experience a true faint, but a muscular phenomenon, which happens when they are startled. They stop moving, stiffen up, then fall down!!! Shepherds would keep them in their flocks so that when the wolves visited, the goats would faint, making an easy target, and the sheep would scarper!
Poor Lulu had a bit of a wobbly episode today, her legs have been bad for quite some time, and today they just collapsed from under her. She's OK now, lying by my feet as I type, but a visit to the vet tomorrow is in order.
Nelly is now just two days away from her due date, and Congratulations must go out to Judy in Pennsylvania with Barbet Claire, she had a lovely litter yesterday, 2 pups.
Pennsylvania is on the cards again this summer for a certain young lady I know, so look out all you Girl Scouts of America!
