There has been a little something going on in East London for the past 17 days, the Olympics.
I've loved every minute of it, though it has been difficult to take the dogs into Central london.
We saw the daft dog owner who let their dog run across the road during the bike race, thank goodness the cyclists and the dog were not hurt! So we kept our dogs at home for the free to spectate events, triathlon, marathon, cycling, walking and swimming, and just took them out to some of the athletes villages and training grounds.
We were fortunate to get tickets for a good few events, and shouted and cheered along with everyone else.
Our local park was one of the training grounds for the athletes, and we were able to go with the dogs to watch them train, it was of no interest of course to the dogs, they just wondered why half the park was closed to them!

The athletes villages were fun, they were dotted around various locations, our last visit to the Danish one, was one we took Nelly to, and she was such a hit down there with all the people, she enjoyed it immensely, as there were free hotdogs!
We watched the handball on the screen while Nelly ate her hotdog, and we had a beer
We watched some break dancing
We admired the working turbine built from Lego
And some more Lego
Pondered on whether this was sailed over here... think it was!
Then nipped round the corner for a last view of the Olympic Rings on Tower Bridge.
