How Does Your Garden Grow?
Not very well when you have puppies and dogs and a dreadfully long winter!!!
I've seen all the ideas for protecting your plants and borders from puppies and dogs, some of them I just wouldn't use, like chilli powder! The orange peel and coffee grounds scattered around your best plants only seems to give a nice aroma, but doesn't stop your prized specimens from being trampled underfoot. Prunings from your rose bushes strewn on your borders are another often advocated top tip, but the thorns on roses are quite lethal, and I wouldn't do that either.....I tried the bamboo method, lots of small bamboo canes planted in amongst the plants you are trying to protect.....hah...the dogs are like cats....they can weave a way through and the puppies are like a bull in a china shop! So.....the latest search came up with.....A motion detector sprinkler system! Well.....that for my dogs and I imagine any other Water dog, would be like receiving the most prized toy you could possibly imagine from Hamleys or FAO Schwarz.
