Remember a post last week? Puppy playing in amongst some flowers?
Huh. Since then, I erected a small green plastic mesh barrier to try and give some protection. I dug out a sunken garden last year after our last litter left. It was beautiful. But filled mainly with beans, courgettes and nastursiums and a few clematis, as it was quite late Spring by the time I was ready for planting. But...this year I wanted flowers, especially scented ones, as on the odd hot summers evening, it is really lovely to sit and eat in here.
Hmmmm, what is the saying? 'No names no drill pack'! Well, I know exactly who broke through, and how few seconds it took before the damage was done!
Planted identically on both sides of the entrance, but not anymore. Fifteen quid for a Jasmine, eight for a Senetti, a few pounds for a Marguerite, at this rate, I'll be the best customer at the plant nursery, and poor Buddha not reclining, but having his faced rubbed in the ground! But.....Don't despair all you new puppy people.. I found this morning a great website, about keeping your garden pretty intact and safe when you have to share it with puppies and dogs. Add it as one of your favourites..you're gonna need it :-)
